Hypnosis/Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is a process involving a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and a client who agrees to be hypnotized. Being hypnotized is usually characterized by:
1. Deep Relaxation.
2. An Altered State of Consciousness.
3. Deep Meditative State of Relaxation.
4. Your Conscious mind, relaxes and allows your subconscious mind to listen and learn.
5.  Your subconscious mind listens to the positive suggestions that are used in therapy, to solve  therepeutic problems.
6.  Hypnosis - Is not sleep.
7.  Hypnosis- is a drifting, relaxed state where your mind is relaxing and drifting, kind of like daydreaming and/or deep meditation, an inner focused Awareness.
8. People in a Hypnotic state are able to pay closer attention to their own unconscious sources of potential information and guidance.
9.  Hypnosis is a Healing Process that you go through by relaxing.
10.  The more you relax, the easier it is to be hypnotized and receive your thereupeutic session to heal your problems.  Hypnosis is a healing process.

Hypnosis: The Common Viewpoint

The common viewpoint of hypnosis is that it is an altered state of consciousness, a deep relaxed state, still awake  and not asleep.  Many who accept this view also believe that hypnosis is a way of accessing an unconscious mind full of repressed memories, and  mystical insights, of their life.

Hypnosis - Clients

Hypnosis is usually in a clinical setting such as a therapist's office. The subjects of clinical hypnotherapist are usually people with problems who have heard that hypnotherapy works for relieving pain or overcoming an addiction or a fear, etc. Others use hypnosis to recover repressed memories or  lives. Some Hypnotherapists use hypnosis to discover truths hidden from ordinary consciousness by tapping into the unconscious mind where these truths allegedly reside.
